Islam instructs its followers to care for animals and not abuse them in anyway. Muslims are told to fear God in their treatment of these creatures, who cannot speak for themselves. They are forbidden from burdening domestic animals with very heavy tasks. They may not slap animals in the face. Muslims cannot hunt for entertainment.
