Unisex Hijab? Is Cultural Appropriation What Muslim Women Really Need?

Italian fashion brand Benetton has recently introduced a new product named Unisex Hijab! The unveiling of the new item has sparked controversy as it has confused many people especially Muslims about the logic behind the new product. However, one thing that can be said without any doubt is that Muslim women who have chosen to wear the hijab, do not feel oppressed, and cultural appropriation of the hijab with products like this not only helps, but might also feel like an insult to them.
