Video games have found a special place in the everyday life of millions of people throughout the world. Video games are not anymore an entertainment means for only kids and teenagers. People in all walks of life and all age groups spend time playing video games.
Recently, a disrespectful use of the Quran in the world famous video game, Call of Duty, created controversy. Call of Duty’s Middle East Twitter account has apologized for its ‘insensitive’ use of the Quran. However incidents like that should make us think more about the huge effects of video games on our minds and bodies. Can video game developers and publishers compensate for the damages done? Or should we ourselves care for our physical and mental health?
