How Muslim Physicians Revolutionized Medicine! - Part 2

Huge advancements were made in Medieval Islamic Spain by Al-Zahrawi in the fields of surgery and medicine, as well as by Ibn Al-Baitar in herbal medicine and pharmacology that greatly influenced later generations of European scientists. Al-Zahrawi’s thirty-volume book on medical practice was the benchmark in Europe for centuries. Ibn Al-Baitar compiled a pharmacopeia; classifying over a thousand different medicines, plants and foods and their properties. On top of that, early Muslim hospitals left a lasting impression too.
